What is Music Therapy?
"Music therapy is an established health profession in which music is used within a therapeutic relationship to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals. Through musical involvement in the therapeutic context, clients' abilities are strengthened and transferred to other areas of their lives." - American Music Therapy Association
MT is the evidenced based use of music interventions administered by a board-certified music therapist. No musical experience or ability is necessary to participate in music therapy. Interventions are tailored to an individual's needs, goals, and preferences. Below is more information about the MT services we provide.
