Harmonic Connections, LLC is a private music therapy practice serving Lawrence, Kansas and surrounding areas. Emily Bachert, an MT-BC, started Harmonic Connections in 2017 with a passion to serve her local community. Harmonic Connections uses music to reach therapeutic goals for individuals and groups of all ages - addressing needs related, but not limited to, traumatic brain injuries, Alzheimer's/dementia, Parkinson's, emotional/behavioral difficulties, cognitive or developmental delays, etc.

Position Details:

- Flexible start date

- MT-BC part-time employee position - total number of hours delegated to the position are flexible based on MT’s availability

- Pay structure is pay per visit/fee for services (a larger flat rate for each direct clinical hour) - travel and supervision compensated separately  

- Providing individual and group music therapy to a diverse caseload

- Locations include Lawrence, Topeka, Ottawa, and surrounding areas

- Populations served include: special education, eldercare, adults with special needs, and youth with mental/behavioral health needs

- Special education duties include providing individual MT as a related service, SPED group sessions, IEP documentation, and being a member of IEP teams

-This is a traveling position - when the MT is not providing direct services, other duties can be performed remotely/work-from-home

- Music therapist will be a member of a team and collaborate with other board-certified music therapists at Harmonic Connections

- Engage in community outreach and music therapy advocacy

Requirements:

- Must be a board-certified music therapist

- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
