Come work for a thriving private practice based in Lawrence, KS! Harmonic Connections, LLC is looking for a driven, compassionate music therapist to add to the team in Fall 2023. This part-time employee position is constantly growing. Total hours are flexible depending on the availability of the employee, with a maximum of 20 hours a week. The MT will be working with students in a special education setting - commuting to schools an easy 30-minute drive south and west of Lawrence, KS. In addition, this position may include opportunities serving individuals/groups in both home and community settings, within Lawrence and surrounding areas. As a private practice serving a variety of needs and ages, Harmonic Connections provides a well-rounded job opportunity for those interested in diverse experiences and balance in their day-to-day schedule.

During the school year, the MT will be an active member of IEP teams, collaborating with other specialists, advocating for music therapy, and providing individual related services tailored to each student’s IEP goals. The caseload may also include music therapy groups within SPED classrooms. Most hours will be allocated towards SPED services. Indirect hours such as planning may be worked from home.

I, Emily Bachert, am a board-certified music therapist, private music teacher, and owner of Harmonic Connections. I work personally with the caseload for this position and greatly enjoy the clients and staff I work with. Myself and my private practice have a well established reputation and network in Lawrence and throughout eastern Kansas - connecting and serving individuals, schools, community groups, facilities, and families. I look forward to working alongside the newest team member in serving our communities!

Harmonic Connections, LLC is a private music therapy practice serving Lawrence, Kansas and surrounding areas since 2017. Requirements:

- must be a board-certified music therapist

- must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license

*Preferred experience working in special education providing music therapy as a related service.
